High-Throughput Computing Approach to Modeling of Public Transport Routes
摘要
In this paper, we present a mathematical model for evaluation of public transport routes. The transport network of the city is represented as a road graph. The correspondence matrix is used to describe the trips distribution of the population over the city. The model has been verified on the example of the city of Petrozavodsk. However, when designing a new optimal route network, it is required, in the general case, to check and evaluate all possible routes in the city. This problem is computationally difficult, but the evaluation of each set of routes can be made independently. Therefore, to perform the modeling and evaluation, one can use distributed computing based on the Desktop Grid.
