The Road to East Gate School
摘要
This chapter tells the story of how I found my field school. It takes the reader to several schools and meet different school administrators. The descriptions of the physical appearances of the schools are intended to show how well the school is developed. Through the story, the reader has a glimpse into the current state of rural China, the administrators’ varied attitudes to a research project to improve their English education, and the wider socio-cultural realities of the particular Chinese rural community in which the research is situated.
