Let Us Teach Together: Collaborative Teaching

This chapter gives details about how a teacher development approach, collaborative teaching, evolves out of my learning about the teachers and the students, and how task-based lessons were carried out collaboratively between I, as a teacher educator and the local teachers. By teaching with the teachers, I got first-hand experience of how tasks and TBLT principles can work in a rural classroom. I practiced “learning by doing” in this teacher development project instead of theoretical imposition on the teachers.
