Introduction

This chapter provides a general overview of the book. It explains the motivation of the study (TBLT as an innovative approach and its adoption in the Chinese national English curriculum), and describes the selection of participants (rural Chinese EFL teachers), the methodology (ethnographic approach), and the adoption of narrative as a means to report the study.
