Arctic Cold Rush
摘要
This chapter introduces the four key aspects of the book: (1) the Cold Rush, understood as the accelerated race for extraction and protection of Arctic Natural resources; (2) the key theoretical concepts, including assemblage, rhizome, and discourse; (3) the Finnish Arctic region, which simultaneously is part of the indigenous Sámiland, the global circumpolar region, and a periphery for the State of Finland, and (4) ethics and politics of writing this book.
