Complex Cases

The isolated illustration of pathology types is rarely a reflection of reality. Two or more pathologies may often be discovered on the MRI images, which make the interpretation often difficult, but also challenging. An accurate analysis of all the elements is mandatory, before evaluating into which pathology or pathologies they fit. In doing so, a critical view on the accompanying clinical information is necessary to avoid bias. On the other hand, not all MRI abnormalities are (at the moment of the examination) clinically relevant. Fifty cases are selected including less frequent and especially combined pathology. “a”—images are without arrow indications. A specific pathological finding at a location in the wrist is associated with a specific arrow, indicating direction in the different “b”—images/sequences.
