Tendons
摘要
Although evaluation by US of the superficial tendons is usually the first choice, the combination of 3D imaging and T2 sequences very sensitive to fluid imply that MRI is a very good technique to illustrate tendon pathology discovered in a more general context. Especially in a complex structure such as the wrist, all dorsal and palmar as well as the superficial and deep tendons and eventual symptomatic variants are illustrated at once. The aetiology of the pathology is very variable. Trauma; chronic overload; RA; Gout; PVNS; sarcoidosis; amyloidosis; and fungal infection are the most frequent ones. A specific aetiology is related to many compartments.
