Nonlinearity

The title of this book contains the notion of nonlinearity and I feel that it must be explained in more detail because, further on, I have used many concepts and metaphors related to nonlinear phenomena. Many years ago, I published a book on nonlinear wave dynamics (Engelbrecht, 1997) and one chapter in it was entitled “Nonlinearity – property or nonproperty”. Here I follow the ideas from this chapter.
