摘要

This study presents the development steps of an automated system for performing drug sensitivity tests on cells, aiming to elucidate interaction mechanisms and effects on viability. The system allows simultaneous screening of multiple drugs under microfluidic conditions, optimizing time-to-results. It integrates real-time imaging, a multi-well chip design, AI-based image analysis, and a modular design for rapid reconfiguration. These features enable precise control of cell microenvironments, require small volumes, and facilitate high- throughput assays. Real time imaging analysis allows cell status monitoring thanks to morphological and cells adhesion measurements. This flexible and effective modular automated microfluidic platform addresses the limitations of previous systems, offering a promising tool for studying the effects of drugs, pollutants, and microplastics on human cells.
