摘要

The zero-energy building is a residential or commercial structure that is designed with the primary goal of supplying all of its energy needs from low-cost, readily available, on-site generated, non-polluting, renewable sources like wind power, biogas, geothermal, rooftop photovoltaic (RTPV) power stations, building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) power stations, etc. A zero-energy building (ZEB) produces enough renewable energy locally to match or even surpass the building's yearly energy consumption. This project demands the choices of the building components to meet the ZEB goal of minimizing energy consumption, utilizing energy efficiently hence greatly reducing energy demands, all while the energy production is on-site. This energy generated through renewable technology should meet all the energy requirements of the building.
