A Review of the Impact of Urban Green Space Pattern on Urban Thermal Environment

A large number of studies and experiments have shown that urban green space can effectively alleviate the heat island effect. In this paper, we searched the relevant literature through China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and WOS Core Collection databases, reviewed the impact of urban green space pattern on urban thermal environment, and summarized the research status of the impact of green space pattern on urban heat island effect in China. By comparing the quantity and quality of research on the impact of green space on urban thermal environment, it can be found that the research on the impact of green space pattern on urban thermal environment belongs to a relatively new field. Through the analysis of the number of publications, core authors, and keywords, in the past 20 years, the research on the impact of green space pattern on urban thermal environment has experienced a period of slow development, and foreign research on this aspect is more mature than that in China, but the overall development trend is slow, and the depth and breadth of research are insufficient. Through the literature, the main research methods and research results in this field are sorted out, the problems and shortcomings of the existing research are discussed, and the corresponding improvement suggestions and future research directions are proposed.
