Statistical Analysis of the Elevation Variation of Rural Landscape Configuration in West Chongqing Hilly Area—A Case Study of Litai Village, Tongnan

摘要

Landscape pattern index analysis is a quantitative method for assessing and examining the spatial configuration of landscapes. This analysis can inform rural planning by enabling the quantitative evaluation and optimization of rural spatial patterns and the conservation of the ecological environment. Using ArcGIS10.7 and Fragstats4.2 software, this study analyzes six indicators of landscape pattern in Litai Village, Tongnan District, Chongqing City: patch density, largest patch index, edge density, aggregation index, Shannon’s diversity index, and Shannon's evenness index. The following conclusions are drawn: (1) The study area is dominated by cultivated land, followed by forest land. Forest land and construction land have a high degree of fragmentation. (2) The land fragmentation phenomenon in the study area is serious. (3) The landscape diversity in the study area is weak. By analyzing these characteristics, it is expected to reveal the elevation differentiation characteristics of the landscape pattern in the study area and the impact of human activities on the landscape pattern, and provide reference for the statistical analysis of rural landscape pattern in the western hilly area of Chongqing.
