摘要

With the rapid development and construction of the city, a series of problems have appeared in the urban public space. How to stimulate its vitality is the key point of urban research in recent years. This study takes vitality evaluation of urban public Space as the main research content and selects Cite Space as the main literature analysis tool through comprehensive analysis of Chinese and English literature. Firstly, Chinese, and English literature on the vitality evaluation of urban public space between 2010 and 2022 was carefully screened. Then, through the combination of bibliometric analysis and content analysis, it is revealed that the two papers are basically the same in the trend of publication, but there are differences in the subject matter, and English literature is more diversified. The results show that both Chinese and English literature make full use of multi-source big data to carry out research on vitality evaluation of urban public space. However, from the perspective of research development trends, English literature has explored the sources of vitality from multiple perspectives, such as human behavior, land use, and public health. In contrast, Chinese literature focuses more on the influence of form, function, and environment itself on vitality in different types of urban public space. In view of the differences presented in Chinese and English literature, we propose the direction of future research on vitality evaluation of urban public space, hoping that these explorations can deepen the understanding of vitality evaluation of urban public space and provide substantive guidance for urban planning.
