Advanced Techniques in Ventral Hernia Repair: Retromuscular Mesh Placement and Myofascial Releases
摘要
Management of large ventral and incisional hernias has historically been associated with a high burden of morbidity and inappropriate rates of hernia recurrence. Techniques in addressing complex defects of the anterior abdominal wall have evolved dramatically over the course of the last two decades and have spearheaded a newfound enthusiasm for one of the oldest problems general surgeons face. This chapter will review common techniques in managing larger defects with the use of retromuscular repair and myofascial releases.
