Gastric Resection: Laparoscopic Wedge Resection, Laparoscopic Subtotal Gastrectomy, Laparoscopic Total Gastrectomy

In the recent decade, laparoscopic and robotic approaches have made several advances in foregut surgery. We can now achieve oncologic resection in the setting of gastric cancers. Here we summarize the management of gastric adenocarcinoma and GISTs and provide an illustrative breakdown on the major minimally invasive techniques in managing gastric malignancies.
