Oncoplastic Breast Reduction
摘要
For patients who are candidates for breast conservative therapy in the setting of breast cancer, oncoplastic breast reduction is an important option to consider to maximize the aesthetic outcome following partial mastectomy. Oncoplastic breast reduction is a method by which the native remaining breast tissue is rearranged to maintain a natural shape, while at the same time preserving the blood supply to the nipple-areolar complex. This surgical approach warrants the combined efforts of the breast surgical oncology and plastic surgery teams. This article provides an overview of oncoplastic breast reduction including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
