Mastectomy for Treatment and Prevention

Mastectomy describes complete removal of breast tissue, and is a surgical option for not only treatment, but also risk reduction of breast cancer. This procedure can be coupled with reconstructive options, either autologous or implant-based, or can be done solitarily depending on the patient’s preference.
