Prime Number Theorem

Following a brief sketch of the prime number theorem, the proof is given along the lines of Newman’s simplified proof of the Ikehara–Wiener tauberian theorem. There are discussions on the error-term of the prime number theorem, the zero-free region of the zeta-function, the Riemann hypothesis, and the problem of prime gaps.
