Demographic Change in the World’s Smallest Economies Against a Global Backdrop
摘要
Chapter 9 presents an analysis of population changes in the group of the world’s smallest economies against changes in their economic potential over nearly five decades, from 1970 to 2019. The analysis of the individual countries enabled the identification of those of the world’s smallest economies whose population growth was either faster or slower than economic growth, reflecting either economic development or underdevelopment of these economies, while at the same time determining the overall wealth and prosperity of these economies.
