Cultural Determinants, and the Level of Economic Development of the World’s Smallest Economies

  • Aneta A. Teperek

摘要

Chapter 17 provides an overview of the eight primary cultures that are dominant in the world’s smallest economies. These are African, Latin American, Islamic, Pacific, Slavic-Orthodox, Western (European), Buddhist, and Hindu. A comprehensive examination of the 93 countries was undertaken, with consideration given to the influence of religion, language, and other cultural factors on economic development. This analysis aimed to identify the cultural characteristics that facilitate economic growth and those that impede it in the context of the world’s smallest economies.
