Linguistic Heterogeneity in the World’s Smallest Economies

Chapter 16 delineates the second element of culture: the official languages spoken in the world’s smallest economies. The capacity to communicate in the same language serves to facilitate the formation of economic ties with the global community. The countries with the most prevalent official languages, such as English, French, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese, were analyzed in detail. The objective was to identify the linguistic subgroups that exhibited the most rapid economic growth and the highest levels of economic development, as well as those that displayed the lowest.
