Liminal Societies: Bodies, Frontiers, and Disappearances
摘要
What is it about identity and difference that summons existence and makes possible temporal continuity? In the face of the hardening of certain explanatory discourses of social disorder, liminal spaces-bodies-territories maintain interactions with the world, between bodies, impregnated with affectivities that generate experiences in the world. In the face of positions that claim the intimate depth of thought and the sublime exaltation of the spirit in the social development marked by the progress of humanity, we position corporeality where the alteration of the material difference of social worlds is embodied and becomes visible. This chapter focuses on understanding the incarnation of liminal societies from the border surface, where otherness is incarnated and summoned to collapse the epistemic duality of cultural supremacism.
