On a Neorealist Feminism as Universal Paradigm

Feminism is broadly understood to refer to several “gender” public policies aimed at women and eventually, by implication, children. Some attempts at enlargement have added men who self-declare as women—the so-called transfeminism, all people regardless of their self-perceived gender identity—transgenderism, or the cosmos as a whole—ecofeminism. Without denying the urgency of an agenda that reverses the structural inequality of women and eradicates sexist stereotypes from culture, we understand that such an objective cannot be realized unless feminism is understood as a philosophy and, therefore, as a universal conception and a project for the transformation of reality as a whole. The specificity of feminism as a philosophy consists of assuming women’s reality as reality’s origin and principle.
