Introduction to Lithium–Ion Batteries

This introduction aims to describe how electrodes are prepared and electrochemically characterized in Li-ion batteries. The main paramaters used in Li-ion batteries are here summarized such as: loading, capacity, Coulombic efficiency, ionic conductivity and transference number. Based on these concepts, the role of interfaces will analyzed in details in following chapters.
