Formation and Behavior of Ceramic Inclusions

  • Jürgen Pötschke

摘要

RefractoryCeramic inclusions material reacts chemically with metallic melts, specifically steel, and it can dissolve. As the temperature decreases, the components accumulate in the melt in relation to their solubility and excretions, e.g. spinels, can be formed there. This is particularly true during solidificationSolidification of the melt. The excretions, e.g. oxidesOxides and oxysulfides, are formed preferentially in the interdendritic residual melt and mark the morphology of the microstructure.
