摘要

Isometries are the simplest non-normal, non-compact operators. They have a lot of interesting features, and we investigate their structure. Toeplitz operators are formed by the compression of multiplication operators on \(L^2\) to \(H^2\) . Their analysis requires a nice blending of ideas from operator theory and function theory.
