Participatory Risk Assessment - Deparis: A Case Study in a Tunisian Garment Manufacturing

This paper discusses the implementation and outcomes of the DEPARIS (DEpistage PArticipatif des RISques) participatory risk screening tool in a Tunisian garment manufacturing company. DEPARIS, an integral part of the SOBANE strategy, emphasizes the screening level of risk prevention and facilitates the development of a comprehensive risk management plan. Through a participatory approach involving key personnel and a structured assessment process, the study identified critical issues and proposed practical solutions, particularly focusing on the ergonomic challenges faced by machine operators. The paper highlights the positive impact of the DEPARIS intervention in fostering open dialogue, empowerment, and collaboration among employees.
