摘要

Climate change, pollution, biodiversity decline, and overexploitation are alarming signs of the current ecosystem's state. Regenerative design offers a framework to adapt biodesign urgently, aligning scientific advancements with natural systems for a sustainable future. Living design enhances natural systems’ vitality to meet present and future needs. Collaboration between scientists and designers is crucial, emphasizing biologist designers and living materials for sustainability. Neri Oxman's “Silk Pavilion” project exemplifies cohabiting with living organisms to create large-scale architectural structures, preserving biodiversity, and regenerating the natural system.
