Prediction of the Most Economically Advantageous Color Formulation

This research introduces an approach utilizing genetic algorithm to forecast the most cost-effective color mixture for replicating a specific color. The objective is to enhance the efficiency of the color formulation process by achieving target hues while concurrently minimizing CMC color differences, metamerism indices between standard and replicated colors, and the associated expenses of the proposed mixture. This study employed two sets of dyes for the dyeing of cotton fabrics: four direct dyes (CI Direct Red 227, CI Direct Orange 34, CI Direct Blue 85, and CI Direct Black 22), and three reactive dyes (CI Reactive Red 238, CI Reactive Yellow 145, and CI Reactive Blue 235).
