Times of Earth, Capital and Carbon Extractivism
摘要
It has been established that global capitalism and the Anthropocene are dual epochs with discrepant time scales. Understood together, they illuminate interacting crises of time involving financialization, socioecological collapse and Earth system deterioration. In this part, such crises are traced back to time disjunctures within the overlapping value chains of fossil-based global capitalism. Accordingly, I will contextualize and specify the time disjunctures associated with carbon extractivism, carbon markets and global warming projections.
