Convergent Epochs
摘要
I will now jointly examine our two epochal formations: global capitalism as a historic culmination of capital’s socioecological and biospheric predations, and the Anthropocene as a period concept for understanding the exponential Earth system complexities of global warming. These formations are at once volatile, coextensive and out of joint. The enquiry starts by detailing the formation and development of global capitalism as a political-economic construct and as an Earth-ecological totality.
