Predicaments of Time
摘要
How does one make sense of global warming and climate volatility as a contemporary predicament with historical causes, culpable agents and consequences for the future? My answer resides in the confluence of two major narratives about this predicament. Both are compelling, variegated and grounded by interdisciplinary research. Yet, each narrative can be employed to critique the blind spots of the other; there is a double relation between them which forms the basis of my argument.
