An Analysis of the Impact of International Trade and the GDP of Emerging Economies of Asia

Millions of people have been lifted out of poverty by the fast expansion and development of emerging Asian economies like China, India, and Indonesia. Their economic policies encourage industrialization and technical advancement, especially trade liberalization and infrastructural development. This study addresses relevant and important economic issues, advances our knowledge of how global trade affects the economic development of developing Asian countries, and provides information that policymakers may utilize. The primary goal of the study is to examine the mean GDP, import, and export of emerging economies of Asia. Moreover, to assess the effect of global commerce on the expansion of Asia’s emerging economies. This study is based on secondary data analysis drawn from IMF reports and extensive literature reviews. Further, trend analysis and a correlation test are performed between the mean net exports and mean GDP of India for the last 15 years to compare the mean trend of the selected countries based on the evidence. The results show that net exports and the GDP of India have a moderate positive correlation, i.e., a 0.504 increase in net exports would increase GDP by 1, supporting previous research on the same.
