摘要

Slow travel, mindful travel, or nature-immersed travel is the way forward. In a world where everyone is busy and seeking quick results, the idea of slowing down, at least for a while, is a refreshing concept. Slowing down once in a while is necessary for the physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being of people. Slow travel is also hugely beneficial for the sustainability of the environment, making it a responsible travel practice. This sets slow tourism apart from mass tourism. This paper aims to analyze and interpret various aspects of slow travel: the history and emergence of slow travel, the difference between slow tourism and mass tourism, sustainability and slow travel, the psychological benefits of slow travel, and why it is the need of the hour.
