Industry 5.0—The Road to Sustainability-Review

This study focuses on the scientific and technological field of Industry 5.0 with a focus on sustainability through bibliometric analysis, considering the subject’s evolution since its inception in 2019. Finding strong links between Industry 5.0 and sustainability with the terms “Society 5.0,” “Human-centered design,” “Resilience,” “Artificial intelligence,” “Circular economy,” and “Sustainable development,” the results demonstrate an increase in sustainability compared to previous industrial revolutions. Since Industry 5.0 is a relatively new industry, sustainability is anticipated to become increasingly important in the future, when the social implications of new technological development will be just as important as the economic and environmental ones.
