“Greening the Workforce: Exploring Green HRM Dimensions and Its Relevance to Environmental Performance in the IT Sector”
摘要
Green HRM practices are the most effective way to improve environmental performance because they provide a basic foundation for organizations to better manage their environmental impact. By combining the theoretical frameworks of Ability Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) and Social Identity (SI), this study developed and tested a model that investigated the main features of green HRM and the effect of GHRM on ecological performance. We used SPSS and SmartPLS to examine information from 474 full-time workers at IT companies in Chennai. The findings confirmed that five factors impact GHRM, a higher-level construct: green hiring practices, green education and development, green monitoring of performance, green pay and benefits, and green engagement and empowerment. Also, the results proved that GHRM had a hugely beneficial effect on environmental performance. Organizations that want to foster a more sustainable and ecologically conscious culture through integrating human resource strategies with environmental responsibility can learn a lot from this study.
