摘要

Transdiagnostic approaches in psychology and psychiatry are based on cognitive-behavioral therapy treatment and are incorporated into other diagnostic treatments. The models are multidimensional based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy that teach and promote emotional regulation strategies, including awareness and acceptance of emotional experiences. Clients improve the ability to flexibly modulate the intensity, frequency, and duration of emotional experiences, and the willingness to experience emotions. Transdiagnostic approaches have gained relevance in mental health treatments because they focus on shared mechanisms of diagnostic conditions and comorbid disorders. Treatment examples include interventions for depression, anxiety, trauma, and related disorders. Finally, the entire population and a variety of environments can potentially have access to this effective health treatment. This chapter presents a study based on literature and clinical situations that can serve as examples for a better understanding for the reader.
