The Unified Protocol Approach for Emotional Disorders
摘要
The unified protocol is part of an evidence-based treatment that usually provides measures on which patients can focus during treatment and determine their progress. Currently, there is much clinical and scientific interest in this method. The assets of cognitive-behavioral therapy and how therapists can focus their interventions to be effective across all diagnoses are discussed. Given the rates of comorbidity found in clinical practice, the notion of formulating and intervening in the cognitive and behavioral processes underlying the transdiagnostic model has become the subject of increasing attention. The Unified Protocol has 8 modules that can serve as a guide for both the therapist and the patient to analyze the progress of treatment. (1) Emotional Awareness; (2) Cognitive Flexibility; (3) Understanding and Labeling Emotions; (4) Emotional and Behavioral Avoidance; (5) Comprehensive Exposure to Emotions; (6) Awareness and Tolerance to Physical Sensations; (7) Interoceptive and Situational Emotional Exposure; and (8) Emotion-Driven Behaviors.
