Transabdominal Preperitoneal Hernia Repair (TAPP)

Recent studies have shown superior benefits of laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair in terms of less pain and early return to work even for unilateral hernia compared to open surgery. As in open inguinal hernia surgery, a good knowledge of anatomy is critical. Laparoscopic groin hernia surgery has reached a prime time for wider adoption in developing sub-regions of the world.
