摘要

During daily activities, ergonomic conditions are essential due to the health and work performance that depend on them. Ergonomics is based on active breaks and comfort during work, significantly contributing to labor productivity. This research has been carried out with a mixed approach, using the Rapid Office Strain Assessment method to determine the characteristics of the job and the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment method to evaluate individual postures; A survey was also applied using the Nordic Questionnaire for the evaluation of musculoskeletal disorders. The research was carried out on the Higher Technological Institute for Research, Technology, Science, and the Academy staff, with a population of teachers and administrative staff. The personnel are exposed to ergonomic risks, with a percentage of 44% with the Rapid Office Strain Assessment method, with the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment 42.23% of the personnel, and with the Nordic Questionnaire the appearance of discomfort at the neck and shoulder due to the type of equipment and furniture used by the staff. Modifying furniture in the work area (ergonomic chairs, desks), acquiring appropriate instruments (ergonomic mouse, pad), and taking active and passive breaks with all staff have reduced risks and, therefore, musculoskeletal disorders.
