The Impact of Virtual Reality on Reading Comprehension in Rural Areas
摘要
Reading comprehension, according to Bransford, Brown, and Cocking; Shuell, mentions that contemporary learning theories place students at the center of learning activities. In order to enhance the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students in general basic education, an innovative reading system has been developed. This system combines conventional reading activities with the use of OCULUS QUEST 2 glasses in conjunction with the coespace platform. In this virtual world, different scenarios can be observed, allowing for navigation. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of glasses in improving students’ reading comprehension. To achieve this objective, literature related to reading theory and comprehension will be reviewed. The obtained results and the implications of the study are presented as elements for analyzing the research landscape. From the perspective of these authors, these contributions to the study’s object are demonstrated.
