A Proposed Framework for Predicting the Psychological Determinants of Youth Entrepreneurship Success: Gulf Region Perspective
摘要
The current paper aims to propose a framework that determines the psychological determinants that predict the success of entrepreneurship among youth. This study relied on previous studies that addressed the psychological determinants of successful entrepreneurs. The proposed framework identified psychological capital, locus of control, self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and motivation for entrepreneurship, in addition to entrepreneurial traits (creativity and innovation, risk-taking, and vigilance). The proposed framework helps the entrepreneurship ecosystem understand the factors that interpret the reasons behind the success of entrepreneurship projects. The proposed framework adopted the measurement of the previous studies and frameworks that have been under investigation and tested a while ago, such as the emotional intelligence scale and the entrepreneurial traits scale—in addition to the entrepreneurial intention Scale by Lennan. The study showed practical and theoretical implications in addition to several directions for future research.
