An Empirical Study on Association Between Demographic Factors and Level of Life-Work Blend

This article's primary goal is to examine the Life-Work blend of women IT employees and its association with demographic characteristics. Women working in all career categories now face the greatest problem of all: finding work-life balance. Numerous studies on the Life-Work blend of women employees have been undertaken, but they have neglected to assess the degree of Life-Work blend and its association with demographic parameters. The researcher selected 200 women working in diverse IT fields in Thiruvananthapuram. The questionnaire was used to collect the data, and statistical procedures like the chi-square test were used to analyze it. There are 18 items on a five-point scale designed to gauge the Life-Work blend. According to the results of the reliability test, the Cronbach's alpha value is 0.740. Demographic factors such as age, educational attainment, experience, marital status, parental status, and family structure were gathered, and their associations with the degree of Life-Work blend were examined. The study's findings indicate that the majority of IT women employees have a normal level of Life-Work blend. Additionally, the majority of demographic characteristics are related to how well people balance work and life.
