Aggrandize Sustainable Development Through Decent Work: Literature Review

This study aims to disclose the results after a thorough review of related research articles on decent labor. The total objective of people's working-life aspirations is decent work. A total of 480 citations were found using the keyword “decent work” in the title and abstract. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria twice, 29 papers were retained for analysis. Each study was conducted between 1998 and 2021, aligning with the timeframe of Sustainable Development. The International Labor Organization's (ILO) goal of “Decent work for all” has received support from the United Nations and the international community, considering it a crucial component of the global development agenda and a key element in establishing just globalization. The studies focused on workers who did not benefit from good working conditions, addressing the deficiency in decent employment and the prerequisites for decent work to exist. Typically, study samples included workers from various sectors. Data were primarily collected through interviews or institutional statistical databases.
