Technology Growth-Based Transformation in Education: Understanding the Role of Technology and Teachers

While technology has revolutionized nearly every facet of our lives—from how we interact socially to the jobs we hold to how we earn a living to how we use our free time—its effects on classrooms and education have been relatively muted. We attribute this limited effect mainly to the fact that technology has been utilized to replace analog tools without considering the advantages that might be gained. Compared to the traditional “chalk-and-talk” teaching method, these benefits include making it easier to scale up standardized learning, allowing for differentiation, providing more practice opportunities, and boosting student engagement. Students will flourish if their institutions adopt technological solutions to improve teaching efficiency and the breadth and depth of available course materials. It is highly recommended that both educators and students use digital devices extensively in the classroom, as electronic gadgets have the potential to serve as instructional resources. Teachers' and students' openness to digital learning can be predicted partly by two previously unexplored concepts: constructivist belief and teacher support. This article analyzes how the educational system has adapted to the rise of digital learning and briefly expounds on the educational developments of Omani schools. Additionally, this paper presented the various elements involved in teaching and learning, the learning styles, self-regulatory learning strategies, and teachers' support for capacity building. This undertaking also looked into technology-based education, the complementary roles of human teachers, and technological advancements.
