Study of a SiN Microresonator with a Variable Coupler at 1550 nm

We propose a silicon nitride microresonator with an electrically controlled coupler, paving the way for a type of microresonator whose behavior can be perfectly tailored to the desired application. We have measured an intrinsic quality factor of 3.9 million for a 10 cm-long microresonator.
