摘要

This chapter focuses on working with people with a diagnosis of bipolar disorders (BDs) in complex contexts. We are liberal with our inclusion into the criteria of complex contexts and activity considering acute, urgent, and forensic settings, given the level of complexity and also team and system working. Methods of assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation in the context of someone with a diagnosis of BD (and those around them) are discussed. These core skills are considered in the context of working individually and also, critically, indirectly with the broader system. We offer practical skills and “top tips” when working in these contexts around how to effectively work with individuals with a diagnosis of BD and also those around them.
