Container Design

In the previous chapter we discussed in some detail the technical aspects of containers and how this information should be presented. In this chapter, we will look more closely at container design as this has a direct influence on how they should be packed, handled and stowed. The container user should be cognisant of the most important structural differences between containers, so that they are in a position to make appropriate preparations for packing and cargo securing and correctly to assess container loading capacities.
