Lashing Materials and Equipment
摘要
In the previous chapter, we covered the principles of load securing; it should be fairly obvious now that simply strapping a piece of cargo down is not sufficiently robust to keep it safe and free from potential damage during transit. There are many factors which need to be considered to ensure the cargo is able to withstand the forces that are likely to act on it both on land and at sea. Now that we have covered the underlying principles of load securing, in this chapter will look at the various means for securing cargo loads.
