The Poggi Method: A New Approach to the Production of High-Quality Mammography

Producing a high-quality mammogram, such as delivering images characterised with high diagnostic content to the reader, is not a simple task, and requires very advances skills and knowledge. In this chapter, a method is proposed, devised by the author, thought to simplify this complex process, by categorising patients according to certain anatomy-postural parameters in three groups. This in order to know in advance what difficulties are most likely to be encountered. The proposed method is illustrated in detail, also comparing the standard method and the Poggi method in two real cases.
